Rain Forecast for Long Weekend Camping?
« on: June 08, 2012, 05:34:38 PM »

Hi,

The bureau has changed the forecast for the long weekend to "rain at times - moderate falls".  The BF has gotten all grumpy about going camping now and wants to stay at home.

Should I persist with the camping angle and suffer through possible grumpy man moments OR should we just stay at home and he can suffer from grumpy female moments?

What's your advice?  Vote required please.

I'll be keeping an eye on this until around 19:30 or so, but then I'll have to make a final decision ... to suffer or cancel.

Kit_e

Edit:  There won't be crowds where we are going as their is a limited number permitted by the owner.

It can rain all it wants this weekend, I don't care >:D   Because we're going away next weekend after the crowds leave

I'ld still go but if you decide not to there is plenty of things going on in Brisbane this weekend to keep you occupied. I'm hoping to go have a look at the caravan camping show this weekend and pick up another surf rod for the trip.

After a family conference (LOL) the wife and kids have decided to come with me to the Myswag meet up at Glen Davis. The forecast is for -6 on Saturday night. Hence we just got back from BCF with some thermals for the kiddies!

If nothing else it will be character building  ;D

Hi Kit_e, From my experience female grumpy moments are far worse to suffer than males, :cup: so if I was he I would definitely go camping.

Just saw the vote! :-[

I reckon a wet weekend camping WILL allways BE better than a dry weekend at home!

My vote goes to camping, we are heading out and I've been watching the weather forecasts all week, it's looking like showers and some rain but I figure we will find something to do. As long as it doesn't get torrential! Where are you off to Kit_e?

We came up to caloundra Friday Argo after work. Few showers at times but at least we know the finch don't leak  8). Glad we are in the jayco and not the CT as it had a leaky corner.

We are out camping at a place we have never been to before not far from Nimbin in NSW, great spot near the border ranges.

Well thanks everyone.  When I last looked it was 6 go 2 stay ... and he changed his mind so we went.  Back to Yandilla where we ran into (well they ran into us really) Ken & Rosie and Paul & his wife and child ... all MySwag Members ... who saw the set up and said "that'll be Kit_e for sure" ... and it was!

Yes it rained, yes it was cold, but we packed up almost dry before it rained once more.   ;D  It's the fire I can't have at home that makes me want to go camping!

Glad you made it to Sharp Park Sicillianmama!  Mickange ... so borrowing that location as well ... maybe not till it's a little warmer though.

Was very glad I came home yesterday; the weather around Sydney has been awful for the past 30 hours.
