What is the difference between QLD Labor and a tarago?

Tomorrow the tarago will still have 8 seats!

Is that a redundant question Speewa?
Very hard to find at the moment.

Guess it is up to the voters. Do you vote for someone that has no chance of being elected and place your preferences so they go to your preferred Poly at the end of the day? Just give them a message.

They might be too thick skinned or arrogant to notice though.

Not a chance mate. As the results will show tonight, we've had a gutfull of Labor. I voted Bob Katter as a least he had some forethought for this state. I knew LNP would make it anyway but Katters party has the best values and integrity.
That's my opinion anyway (and probably a fight starter ;D).

I don't think it's people wanting to now vote for LNP , it's people not wanting to vote for Labor .

Another person / Party with the right promotion could have taken a few seats off the LNP I reckon .

I wish Katter was a better ( normal ) person , and he would have got more votes . Why is it the people with the right everyday ideas are the strange ones ( Katter , Hanson ... )

Why wasn't the Camper Trailer Party started up ?

A good point I just heard , is that people no longer know what the Labor party stand for . That I believe as 6 years ago I became a contractor , and thought it would be ok , as Labor looks after the workers , and after those 6 years , I now realise they couldn't give a stuff about what's happening to the workers / contractors out there .

I just hope Gillard realises that this isn't just a don't like Bligh thing , it's a don't like Labor thing .

I would imagine there are some very serious meetings going on in Canberra tonight, both NSW and Qld now becoming massacre against Labour. At the end of the day the egos will win out and they will believe the voting public still loves them ??? ??? ???

Do you reckon this is a barometer for every state and the federal election?

Even the local solicitor who is a stalwart labor supporter voted liberal today....that is saying something.

Cheers Nomad.

89 seats in total, currently 77 to LNP, 4 to KAP & Independents, leaves 8 to Labor. That is a flogging.

I love how Labor were going on about 'don't give Newman too much power'.

The problem in QLD is there is no upper house, so it doesn't matter if you hold government with a majority of 1 or 20, you still can do whatever you want.

The same will happen in the next SA state election too (which can't come too soon).  Labor has sent us bankrupt with many white elephant projects including a new hospital built on a toxic waste dump, a desal plant that doesn't work, rezonong of prime agricultural farming land to resedential so their developer mates can build 000's of new homes with no infrastructure, a super highway that doesn't do anything to ease congestion, plus selling forest rights for 100 years for only 15 years worth of income, and finally us being the highest taxed state in the nation.

What is it with Labor?

I am sure after the next few states have their elections plus the next federal election the whole country will be Liberal, and they will be forced to make unpopular decisions to pay off the massive debts left behind, and these unpopular decisions will over time get them voted out and the whole cycle starts again!

Can I just point out poll is spelled POLL, not pole.  Labor is spelled LABOR, not labour.   :police:

Couldn't stand Labor either, but this result is just plain scary.  Newman is an arrogant little Hitler and has so much power now it's sickening.

Might I add that all this politics is getting in the way of the important business at hand. Let's talk about religion or something ::)

Hopefully this Qld government will pay their insurance premiums.

Labor has ignored the electorate for too long, it was only a matter of time.

The only reason why they stayed in for so long was that the opposition was so bad.

And the Opposition are sooo good now, I don't think so. The stench of Labor was too strong to stomach again so people voted LNP. To be honest and IMO they are both shyt......Just people have not experience the LNP stench for some time and have short memories.
