What looks suspect about his dog dying?

Sadly Jack has passed, I believe that it was paralysis tick. Feel for Roothy, know all to well what it's like to loose a 4 legged best mate.

I think the op is talking about Chinese whispers.

Very sad when a mans best friend passes.

I'm surprised he didn't get skished under a 4x4 they way he always scampered about whilst they were filming various tracks ...

If he has karked it, no matter the means, then yes, it's a sad day for Roothy.  He was a fine looking dog who loved adventure from what I could tell.

It is sad indeed.
I liked Jack more than I like Roothy...

Jack was a nice looking dog and I thought it great how he seemed to go everywhere with Roothy.

Though, I am interested to know how they got around taking the dog everywhere, including into NP's where dogs aren't allowed? Did they get some special dispensation for this?

Reached a point where the differing states where getting ready to take action not only against Roothy but also 4wdA/EMG if they went into one more National Park with a dog.

Just seems that EMG and most of their employees are considered fair game.
I know my kids enjoy the dvd's and shed a tear when I told them of Jacks passing.

C'mon all,
Lets not let this thread turn ugly. Jack was a great dog and a great mate to Roothy and his family. Unless you where right there and know exactly what happened, don't comment on his passing circumstances. R.I.P. Jack. Sorry for your loss Roothy.

Cheers

Sorry to hear that Roothy's dog "JACK" had died.
Being a Border Collie owner myself..I know how devastated I would be if my Canine Buddy passed away.
I did  like the words Roothy had put together on his site

"Think of Jacko every time you ignore a ‘No Dogs’ sign. He couldn’t read either…"  ;D

Jack must of been the best travel dog around

Kind Regards  John

Yeah mate, I wasn't aiming the post at you. I'm sure that it was a paralysis tick. I was having a go at the ones who are saying it is suspicious or saying that Roothy didn't show enough care (Barra). When someone has just lost someone close, human or pet, the last thing they need is people criticizing them.
