Waterside (dam or river) camping S.E. Qld
« on: February 14, 2012, 08:30:34 PM »

Anybody know of a camp area, dam or river, in S.E. Qld  where you can be right on the waters edge. I have a kayak rigged for fishing and even with trolley is still "weighty", so a (very) short walk to launch is preferred. Our Cub CT needs fairly flat ground to set up. Any advise would be appreciated.

I havent been to Johns landing for years. Any idea what it is like these days? It was always a nice spot on the river, but seemed to attract a "shadier" type of character.  I dont know if I would be comfortable taking the family there if it hasnt changed. Id love to go back tho .....

Cheers Chippy :D
