Any good Camp sites between Bendigo - Sea Lake areas?
« on: October 27, 2011, 03:44:19 PM »
Team.
Anyone know of any good campgrounds in this area? Will be a late arrival, quick setup, and 1 night.

I cant see much on www.ozcamps.net

I was thinking of attempting to make it to Rocket Lake which is a good spot in from Nowingi for the night, but its probably just too far by the time we leave home, and get there.

Thanks

I'm not so good with advice... can I interest you in a sarcastic comment?

yea, since we arent leaving until round 5-6pm,  its about 6hrs without holiday traffic to hattah, thus why Rocket is also out of question... If Im not tired, I'll keep going, they can sleep until we get there LOL! but if Im tired, I wanna have a backup plan.

If your looking for an overnight stop then you could aim for Mellvile's caves near inglewood. Do a search, as I posted a topic on it earlier this year. Also there is are nice paid camps at wedderburn, and charlton. we have stopped in there as a trip breaker to Mildura before. Also was up at Hattah very recently on an over nighter en route to Broken hill. Great camp, didn't want to leave.
Hope that helps.

Just pull off the side of the road somewhere, There are a few rest areas that you can get out of site.
You can camp at the Sea Lake footy ground too I think. I remember seeing vans near there in July.
Should this be in the Trip section   :police:  ;D

There is a great spot out on the lodden river just out of Serpentine which is between Bendigo and Kerang you just have to call in at the BP and let them know you'll be out there
