KK for us we have 6 and 3 year old girls. On quick trips they can sleep on the hard floor and for longer trips there are the various kids room options. The kitchen and access to on the move is awsome on the KK's, I dont like the way the kitchen swings back close against the canvas on the Aussie swag and others similar.

I find it hard to believe that the TVan would be easyer to set up than a KK for quich overnight stops, 6 latches, flip it over and you are in bed.

Its a lot of money to spend on eaither so I would hire a couple first to make sure you make the best decision.

Regards

Jas

TVan = 4 latches, open hatch (close hatch if desired) and you're in bed.

I can't really help the OP because I don't have a family. I spent a lot of time looking at pretty much every camper trailer on sale in Aust and a few from OS and although I didn't want to spend that much, the TVan was the best option for me travelling and more importantly, setting up alone. I agree though, they're a big investment and if you can, best bet might be to hire each and see what works best for you.

Well the decision has been made.  After a lot of investigation, soul searching & consulting tea leaves a TVan Murranji it is!  Paid the deposit yesterday - delivery in March.  We're getting towards the wet season up here so we're not disappointed in having to wait.  I only hope next season's dry season is as fantastic as this one is proving to be.

We've ordered the van with the optional front storage lockers, additional family room & most importantly the inner sprung mattress  :D

Will post images of our set-up when we get it.  Thanks to all those who posted with advice.  Thanks also for those who recommended Pat at 12V Brightspark in Cairns for our electrical installation on the Discovery.  He did a great job.

See you on the road!

I know this is OT but I'd like to endorse Topndr & Captain's comments regarding AORC's after-sales service.

We have a Quantum & have had nothing but excellent service from them.  Having said that - I know there have been a few issues with some rigs (including ours) - but their prompt responses have ALWAYS been as much as we could ever want or expect from a manufacturer in terms of rectifying the problems.  This includes in some instances where they could quite rightly say the issue is not theirs to rectify - but they have anyway.

Cheers, D
