Spent time today looking for another set of tires more suitable for the long trip on corrugations and sandy conditions, picked on some Cooper Maxxx, but was told as I was going on sandy areas the tread pattern should not be too severe and should be more flat, and the Cooper AT3 would be the way to go?
I was told the Maxxx's severe tread patern will just dig a hole in the sand, and the flat surface of the AT3 will allow the vehicle to 'roll' along on the sand and not bog down.
Any thoughts on his reasoning, or I just believe the guy ??
the Maxxx was a dearer tire
