The cold snap is supposed to hit us on the weekend with temps dropping both overnight and during the day. Monday is supposed to be the worst with advise for campers to take really warm clothes.
I guess you will need socks with your thongs and to wear longer shorts and a t-shirt instead of a singlet  ;D

Well I did have a drive up into the snow. I have been up on the search for the missing deer hunter at tomahawk hut near Mt Striling. The picture is  Mount No3 Hut yesterday morning.
On the way home there was snow down to the Mt Buller gate and also on the black spur.
Hard work walking in the snow and scrub but we were working with some great people which made it better.
Regards

LOL..you got to love Darwinites- I lived there for years (sometime ago now) and remember the front page of the NT News - Cold Snap - Darwin shivers as temp hits 16 overnight...lol.

No kidding there was a run on duna's and heaters..i still get very cold here in melbourne. The other night had the central heater on plus the fire in the lounge room...it is frigging cold and winter has only just started..glad I am getting out of here soon.

Police say it is unlikely missing Barwon Prison boss David Prideaux will be found alive and they will scale back the search for him.

I don't know about Melbourne, but I'm felling the cold, it's getting down to low teens over night. the misses has dug out the flanle sheets and two (yep 2) extra blankets. it was cold and wet up here today only got to low 20's with drizzle  :'(
