We name everything here...

The Chevy is Mr Mojo, because my husband thought I used to spend more time with the truck than with him! I had the name put on the tailgate to help cover up a previous owner's own company sticker. It is also on the number plate.

The Hilux has been dubbed "Striker" for all the bird strikes it has managed so far!

The camper is "The Beach House." because its my house I can take to any beach!

We have a special edition Prado a "Snowy"  So thats the cars nickname and our jayco swan is swanny.  Together they are Snowy and Swanny, not very original, but the kids love it.

We never really got to name the Navara - Mrs Yoda tried for "Navarone" but it never really stuck. The ute or the truck is the best it gets.

The Aussie Swag has got SWAGR as the number plate, and some we know have very presumptively called it SHAGR. Don't know why ;D

My car is called MyCar ... and his ute is called The Ute ... yeah original I know ...

I called my last hilux ute Luxy or The Lux and the Bitch when it blew the head gasket ...
and I had a LiteAce Van (the bubble top type) that I called the Big Banana for a while ... it was bright yellow and big!

I don't have a name for the tug as yet.  The Jayco is known as the 'gadget mobile" aptly named after the original "Joe the Gadget man" because of my propensity to acquire gadgets....lol

Our Patrol is called 'Moses' cause it was usually the leader and parted the waters; plus we're blessed to have it. The CT is just the camper; but now i may have to name it, since you've bought it up. 8)

My Nissan Pathdfinder has been nicknamed "Pathy" (mmm... original....) but it should really be renamed "Stuck in the mud" or "Bogged" for obvious reasons.

My personal Trackabout 4x4 Deluxe Tourer is named "Tracky" (yeap... original again)!

The first Demo trailer my business bought, a Trackabout Safari SV Extenda was fondly called "Big Bertha" - as it was huge... 5.3m long and a whoopy great toolbox/fridge box hanging off the front! "Big Bertha" has been renamed by her new owners in Geraldton as "Black Beauty".....

And my new addition, as of this morning, is a 1 yr old  Trackabout Safari SV, now know as "Dirty Harry", and it is not because "he" is packing a nice big .44 magnum in the jerry can holder or toolbox either!

With the old VW van, she is a 'Volksing Matilda'.

The Maverick is AKA the "Burglar" ..for a number of reasons mainly that its holds up traffic cause it aint too quick. The CT we call the "Holiday House"..that is what its used for.

Got a ute the boys christened "Albert"..something to do with the rego number

I did not want to start a new thread, so I just resurrected this one.

We've just been on our first real trip, and part of the fun was to name our car and trailer. My other half was adamant to call our Aussie Swag camper trailer 'Ozzie' which I did not find original or inspiring. trying to come up with an alternative name by making something out of the license plate number proves a bit hard and laboured. So, we put our heads together with the kids and let all options pass. Including Star Wars themes and characters from all kinds of children books I've never read or heard off!

Finally, we did agree (not by unanimous vote but with some slight pushing of the kids vote to my proposal ;D) on 'Burke' for the car and 'Wills' for the trailer. After all, these were great Australian explorers and we'll be embarking on our own exploration of Australia.
