Calling Townsville Area Members re Easter
« on: April 07, 2011, 09:15:27 PM »
 ;D
 ;D Hi All,
thought I'd just drop a note to mention the trip to Kidston
http://myswag.org/forum/index.php?topic=10996.0

I just haven't heard from any of our Southern Swaggers and just wanted to let you know that you are most welcome to rock on up.  The idea of Kidston was, (besides being I've never been there   ), that it was fairly close to half way Townsville - Cairns and that usually, though this is one of those years, it is fairly dry.

There are facilities there - see web page for Oak Rush, and the dam looks good for those who like the odd red claw etc.

Be good to catch up with some of our Southern Members

 and happy camps
 Paul

Thanks for the heads up Paul,

Sounds like a good trip .
I don't think we'll make it ourselves - unfortunately the missus is working over Easter so we are not travelling too far afield this time - just planning to head out to the Towers on the weekend before Easter (camping at Bivouac Junction). Word is that the latest owners have improved the place. Plus the drive-in is showing Rango, which the kids missed at the movies. Should keep all parties happy.

The closest I got to a new years resolution was to aim to get to at least one swagger trip this year, so will hopefully make one of the next ones

Matt
