Hmmmm, going to be a long summer if our batters not remember to get them selves in. Where did that trait go. It seems every game is a 20/20 - it's giving me the sh1ts

A new captain would be a good start..

the ability to play spin and swing bowling would be better.

i'll take clarke as captain, if we can get batsmen that can play spin and swing bowling.

also, a bowler in the terry alderman mold who could swing it both ways in all conditions would also help...

Swings both ways, isn't that a description of Shane "useless" Watson!

But yes, some who can play swing and seam and spin bowling would be a good start. Does Matty Hayden have kids?

There are plenty of others out there that could play in his spot. Faulkner, Marsh, even someone like Coulter-Nile would be better. For that matter, anyone with a bit of ticker...!

if they only realised that they have an allrounder already - mitchell johnson.

then they could pick another bowler (like coulter-nile, for example) and also put in a batter that actually has some technique and give them 5 tests to prove themselves.

What I meant was hopefully it wasn't the aussies bowling crap, it was just a dead wicket. Its usually only the poms who like to play for draws. Bur when the aussies are 1 for FA perhaps we were just bowling crap and now time to bat the same....  :'(

On the plus side for the summer of cricket at home I have my tickets for Aus vs South Africa ODI this month, Aus vs Poms opening world cup game and tickets to the world cup final. 3 ODIs in the 1 season will be a PB for me, looking forward to it. Might even sneak a couple of big bash games to top it all off!

Take nothing away from Pakistan - they are playing very good cricket at the moment. I am not sure if we can blame the pitch yet, have to wait until the Aussies bat.

Despite that, we have to get better playing on low, slow turning decks. Can't keep whinging and pining for a fast bouncy pitch or a green top.  Australian pitches are not the centre of the cricket universe anymore.

Don't know if anyone is watching the cricket. Aust are just being outclassed by Pak. Take nothing away from them, some of the wickets are top drawer. I wish Pak played like this all the time, it would make test cricket more interesting.
