Have followed for quite some time.
It will extend the NP to almost my back yard so in a sense it doesn't quite directly effect me but will effect many many others, and i theorise that if/once it goes through, "my backyard" won't by far away. No more firewood. No more walking dogs every night in bush. My grandkids won't be able to camp in the same spots my kids did, I did and my Dad did. No need to keep all the old logging tracks open so will be closed as they don’t go anywhere in particular or to any "tourist draw cards".
Lots of information flowing, with lots of verifiable verifiable sources, and lots of information to contridict the extreme greens.
Such as the claim that 90 odd percent of Victorians were in favor of GFNP turns into was actually a survey of 800 people of an inner Melbourne suburb, or recent green claims that DEECA are now logging more forest under the pretence of fire break maintenance than Vic Forests were before they were closed down. Seemingly ignoring the fact that there are virtually no hardwood hauliers or harvesting operators left, drastically reduced number of hardwood sawmills (the biggest relying on wood coming from Tassie or US), and the principle consumer of the low value pulp (APM) shut their white paper line so no longer use hardwood (now have in excess of 4,000t/wk of unrequired plantation bluegum that the native used to supplement going for export).
Sorry. Got on a rant!
