New fee's coming to visit NT national Parks - https://www.abc.net.au/news/2022-12-12/nt-tourism-national-parks-pass-litchfield-edith-falls-mataranka/101741136

I'm not opposed to the idea, as long as revenue is re-invested into the parks. Lets be honest, NT is probably behind the Eastern states when it comes to charging for park access.

Friend of ours joined the :police: a few years ago.

She was saying that it was mentioned at the Academy, that the record for a new cop having to draw & fire their pistol was 20 minutes into their first ever shift! :o

You have to wonder what was going on in the background here, when one of them was an ex-School principal ???

Yes unfortunately the days of a large percentage of applicants spending a few years in the Defence force and then going into the Police is far gone
Now we get return to work Mum's, school teachers or race quota (all 4 foot 10 and below)
Some of the best police officers I know had 3-5 years real life experiences before joining
If your not prepaired to stand behind our troops
Then feel free to stand in front of them
