Sponsor a town, Communitee

Wish we could travel more,
Love all the trip updates here and posts in our FB group from members sharing their stories, life adventures.
This is great to see. I'm sure other members feel the same.
At the moment there are many communities, towns and cities  all around our great land that are on the verge of desperately needing water, their farming communities  are on their knees, they are hurting.
How can we help?

I've Been thinking about this for awhile,
How about, adopt a town(maybe a different name/title), visit a town, even as a small group, as a group MySwaggers travel to all points of this amazing country.
Get national Media exposure, how do we do this..
I believe there are Swaggers that have the knowledge, contacts to make this happen.
Ok, Swaggers have shown that we can organize a National Meet, why not something like this.
I'm just throwing this out there.
I have seen Caravaning groups do this.
This is something I am also putting to our 4wd club, it would also be awesome if otber 4wd clubs could do tbe same.
What are your thoughts?

Safe Travels.

I think it is a great idea. Biggest problem I can see is what town do we adopt. There are so many out there hurting that the mind boggles.

TUG=GU ST 2012 Ute, CT = Modcon Imperial HF
We have to start thinking about what sort of a world we are going to leave for Keith Richards after we are all gone.

Hey Noel,
I wasn't thinking of one town, say when Swaggers get together to do trip, we have a lot of members traveling all over the country,  it could be any town, if that makes sense.
What made me think of it, some groups/clubs do this. They might, for eg, have two day trip, stopping somewhere over night, on the way to the campsite, they stop at a town, buy morning tea, the next town they buy lunch and then camp overnight in another town. Maybe buy their evening meal at tge local pub, rsl/bowling club.
I'm explaining this right?

I think it's a great initiative. I try and spend my money in the smaller towns and in the smaller shops and servos on trips away. It may cost a few dollars more but in return I have gotten some great tips on things to see and some off the grid great camp sites.
..... Here's another idea to flow on from yours.
What about MySwag have a trip tag-a-long trip section.
My thought would see anyone planning a trip to anywhere, post it if they wouldn't mind some company. I'm thinking a trip to somewhere isolated where others would love to go but are hesitant to tackle it alone for starters. Or just a road trip through  towns that are struggling through the drought.
Think Hell Hole Gorge near Adavale in SW Qld.  Isolated but a great trip.... Even better with company and a confidence boost to those that would love to see it but are new to 4x4 touring.
Trip dates, where, what the trip is for (exploring, relaxing, touring, etc)

I'm sure others would be better than me at expanding this. Just a thought.
