Road Conditions from Miles to Goondiwindi
« on: January 28, 2018, 08:17:37 AM »
Hi Everyone,

Hubby & I are heading down to Southern States later this year & was wondering what the road from Miles through Moonie to Goondi was like. We drive a yr 2000 Commodore Ute towing a Jayco Penguin Camper Trailer. Any advice would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks Sue.

Hi Sue,

Pretty good from memory. Sealed, flat and in reasonable condition last time we drove it (2014 I think).

Fully sealed . From Condamine to Moonie it goes thru melon hole country . The road sinks a lot in places so you tend to do a lot of bouncing around. Just watch your speed and you should be fine. From Moonie to Goondiwindi road is in pretty good condition with a few rough spots. (just did Xmas out at Gundy ).
Cheers Stephen.
