Hey Drew, Have you had any drama's with heat from the fridge inside the cabinet, looks a fairly tight fit, Has it ever caused the fridge to go into error / shut down due to overheating ? Any extra ventilation / Fans added to the box ? ..
Hey Edz,
Before I put the lid over the fridge it used to overheat due to crap being packed around it and not having enough breathing space.
Since the box top, it's survived a summer and trip to Fraser without any issues. Biggest heating issue I have is the canopy over heating. When I grabbed the pics last night, the fridge had run the aux battery down, and turned off. Inside of the fridge was 36° ... Thankfully there was only a bit of chocolate and some Panadol in the fridge.
Mind you, we've had 30°+ in Melbourne for 3 days with it sitting in the sun, not being driven for all 3 days... 30 minute drive last night and she's back to 0° and 12.7v ...
Might throw the panels on the roof during the day today though to keep the aux topped up, as I'm working from home
Probably should add, that the drawers are in two pieces, so I can remove the half with the fridge in it if I ever decided to. The drivers side has the battery hard wired at the headboard so a bit more fiddly to remove, even with everything connected out of the box with Anderson plugs
