Best Sat phone
« on: June 12, 2017, 09:19:27 PM »
What's the bee's knees for sat phone coverage and usage. We need to make a few calls whilst on a trip to the cape. Might use data if the need arises too.
Any advice would be appreciated.

Found this review pretty good.  May interest others.

In a nutshell, Iridium’s network and coverage is the best, though you pay a little extra for it. Inmarsat balances a quality network with quality handsets and reasonable value. Thuraya offers a lower cost alternative which may suit if you’re in the best location to take advantage; if you’re primarily in northern Australia, for example, Thuraya virtually cannot be beaten, though in the southern states, it’s less useful.
