Where to fill water?

Has anyone tried this stuff from Davey?
I think it might be based on sodium peroxide, which does not leave a caustic residue like chlorine bleach does.

Warning............... TEST TASTE ALL WATER before filling tanks or jerry cans.
I usually plan our trips with camp sites always located near a water source. Not necessarily for drinking, but for showering.
Drinking water I carry in the camper tank and jerry cans, recently bought a 100 liter plastic bag in a special sown baggie, advertised at the 4WD shows. When water supply becomes low at camp site, I make a run into nearest town and fill this up, lasts for ages. When empty folds/rolls up and is easily transported.

AND always use a BEST water filter when replenishing enroute, buy them on line.

One thing you want to do with a Jayco (or perhaps your rig) is piss off their clear PVC filler and breather hoses for food grade black PVC ones available here-

I was touring around a few years ago and camped by a lake in western Victoria. Saw an old bloke (well older than me anyway) walking to the toilet block with a bucket. Told him he'd have fun filling it up with the momentary action tap installed there. He smiled and said I'll show you something young man and asked me to follow him into the toilet block.....   well hidden away below the basin was a normal tap. He said most toilet blocks have them for cleaning. And he's right. Funny part is I was having a beer with him and his wife later and asked what he used to do when he worked. He replied he used to play a bit of rugby. I asked if he was any good. He replied that he had a Rothmans. Wow I said telling him I had given up smoking years ago. No he said it's like your Brownlow medal. Oh.... so you could play a bit then.
