Hello from Ballarat
« on: September 30, 2016, 09:09:16 AM »
Hello all,
I figure that I should introduce myself after stalking this site for several years and recently joining. Having a young family and a tight  budget we tried the roof top tent option on a toolbox trailer but ended up changing to a Westlat offroad camper that was too good to pass up from lovely people. Has anyone else had experience with one of their units?

Welcome to myswag.  Sorry no experience with the Westlat.  Always good to do a search on here as most things have been discussed at some stage.

We own a westlat camper with a 7ft side told tent purchased in 2011 we have pitched it 88 times since purchased and have been caught in some horrible weather and it has stood up  to it. The only hassle we have had is with the zip on the trailer cover, we wore it slider out, we modified a YKk No 10 slider to suit and it works perfect.

Welcome to the forum.... coming from Ballarat - have you searched diesel heaters in camper trailers yet?  Sorry, just being cheeky about the temperatures in Ballarat... enjoy your time with all this mad yet knowledgeable crowd and maybe we will see you somewhere down the track...

Thanks all for the replies. Trailer certainly appears well made and has towed very well. A diesel heater  would be a nice upgrade from the stihl one day.....
