Companion Digital Aqua Cube as shower option - thoughts?
« on: September 08, 2016, 08:50:58 AM »
Hi Guys,

We are having issues with our HOUSE shower and cannot get it fixed for a while. We are looking at setting up a 'bush' shower outside using some sort of hot water system. The camper has a shower/toilet however hubby does not want to run our bore water through the van set up which I understand. BCF have the above system on sale for $270 at the moment. What are everyone's thoughts? Will this system work do you think for showers for three people daily for two - three weeks or does it only have minimal hot water capabilities?
I don't want to spend a fortune as the van has hot water capabilities so the system will very rarely be used after this situation, if at all.

Thanks for your advice.

Thanks guys, I have sent an enquiry to them.

I actually have an ebay version of this at home that has never been used. We bought it about 8 years ago to use to wash horses after seeing a few units at shows. Not long after we bought it, we received an email form the government saying they are not legally able to be used in Australia and we could be fined/jailed for using one and there were safety issues. Put the fear of God into us and it has sat in the box ever since!!!

Our Aquacube (the first model) has given no trouble at all.
We only use it occasionally, but it's been carted all over the country.

I have the Aquacube Logic and it has been great. Brought back in 2012

Had an issue a few months back and Companion fixed it for free, after 2 years out of warranty. Customer service you couldn't beat.

Worked fine at home when the home hot water system went last week. Just had water running into a bucket for continuous showers.
TBH I think you'd be better off with the Joolca unit though.

Thanks everyone, I am pretty sure I will go with the Joolca model if it doesn't take ages for postage.

Thanks again!!

I have the orange aqua cube and it is great. I love it. It has been from Brisbane up to the gulf and burketown down to mt isa and home. Shaken around on thousands of ks in the trailer. Hot showers every time.

Extremely happy. Stepbrother has the rechargeable one and he likes it as well never had a problem.
