Hello GT,
I have an observation on the Oztrail that may be worth considering. I owned both the standard and deluxe 3m x 3m at the same time. For their intended purpose I would NEVER bother with the deluxe again.
The reasons are:
1. Weight. The deluxe is a fair bit heavier and also larger when collapsed
2. Roof support. The standard has 4 support arms (albeit flimsy) that run from the apex to the 4 corner posts. The deluxe has a central support spire that tensions the roof from the top of the corner posts. What this means is that with even the slightest amount of rain on it the deluxe roof sags badly. These structures are not designed to be waterproof, but chances are you will leave it out one night (or day). Once stretched the material is ruined and will always sag.
Note: Under moderate to heavy rainfall both styles collect water no matter what around the 4 sides of the roof. But for light drizzle and showers the standard will hold its shape and shed the water, wheras the deluxe holds all precipitation regardless of the fall rate.
3. Roof Structure as mentioned above. The deluxe roof frame is too low and taller people clunk there head on it.
4. Price. The deluxe is dearer by between $30-$50.
Not quite what you were asking, but something to consider if you do choose a gazebo in this style.
Cheers,
Nigel
