Trailer cover rejuvenation - advice needed please.
« on: September 26, 2015, 05:01:35 AM »
Apologies in advance if this is doubling up on a previous thread.  I remember reading a similar thread or comments in the past but have been unable to find them again.  Obviously I need to brush up on my searching skills!

We have had a friend's trailer on loan for a long time on proviso we maintained it for the friend.  I have managed to maintain and improve the trailer to a better condition than when we originally borrowed it - I was taught to always return borrowed things in a better condition than when you borrow them!  Unfortunately the cover is starting to show its age.  We want to do the right thing by our friend so I would like to rejuvenate the cover and protect it to extend its life as much as possible.

I am after any information (products to use, products not to use, ease of application, results, reapplication times, real world experiences, etc.) on products suitable for restoring, rejuvenating , maintaining the soft (vinyl, PVC ?) material commonly used on quality campers, trucks, etc.

There are probably other Myswaggers also interested in protecting their camper covers, so hopefully this information will also help others.

Thanks in anticipation of the normal Myswag community response.

Have a look for a product called "Arco"(I think. I've got a tub downstairs, need to check). Most upholsters sell it.
