We had the annual concert last Saturday.
The girls did well.
My youngest got the Scholarship Award. Now she can choose whatever she wants to do and it doesn't cost us anything for the whole year.

Not dancing but my 7 and 11yo's do gymnastics, had their end of year show on Saturday which was great. Their instructions did a performance as well and it was like watching Cirque D'Soleil , made we want to get my lazy arse up and do something.

Well I had to sit through 38 dances/songs to see my boy & girl in 4 of them! At least my 10 year old boy got a most improved & an encouragement award. Bloody funny seeing him dressed up as Elvis & then the cowboy from the village people though

9 & 7 yo daughters here.  We've been doing ballet with them since the older one was 3.  Jazz/tap/hip hop too, depending on the schedules.  Both girls do piano and the older one does strings at school and has also done Creative Generation (Qld State schools tv stage show) last two years....  Younger one did soccer this year and looks like she wants to do that again this year.  I kinda hope she takes up more sport and ditches the dance tbh!

My gilrs did the Joondaup Festival parade on Saturday night with their dance school.
And they won again the Community Award. Not hard as they were the only group doing tricks and stuff, entertaining the crowd.

So this is my little girl and some of her dance school friends
And this is her by herself

And this is the group photo of them after they have danced on Broadway! Yep Broadway. Many people aspire to be on Broadway and at the age of 13 she has done that.

These are real Proud parent moments.

Ah good to see i'm not the only one.
My daughter dances at school ( its a subject believe it or not) and after school.
I don't dare ask how much it cost me on a weekly bases but I do know that the costumes for the concert in mid December is over a
$1000 :'(

To be honest she loves it so I'll back her 100%.
At the age of 14 she is already assistant teacher for the younger classes.

As a dance dad when we go to eisteddfods and the alike I can see what girls are doing wrong  :-[  as well as your obligatory hair styles.
