Introduction
« on: July 21, 2015, 12:17:01 PM »
Hi all , Been lurking on the site for a bit whilst in the search for a camper. Was all set to pull the trigger on a Johnno's but in the end found a second hand TruBlu with all the fruit locally for a good price. Even if it doesn't work out it is a bit of an investment.

Have only taken it out for the one night so far (work seems to get in the way) but the wife and kids were happy and everything worked great. Only issue we had was all the power plugs were smaller than the usual sockets so I had to do an emergency operation on the Engel plug to keep the food going (have only half arsed the dual battery on the tow truck).

Have been looking at different mods and most seem to be achievable but the only hiccup i seem to be facing is the camper has the AlKo IRS suspension. It sits a bit low for me and doesn't seem to be able to be adjusted so i am looking at a body lift. Just have to measure up the canvas to make sure I have room to move.

Anyway, this thread is useless without pics so here are some. Scratch that because its not working. Once i work out how to make it work ill put some pics up.

Thanks all. The FJ is a beast of a truck. Might not tow as well as a diesel fuel economy wise but will go anywhere. The camper is top notch and has everything too. Might add more power but in the mean time im pretty happy.
