« on: April 24, 2015, 01:06:18 AM »
Saw this on FB. Not sure if anyone has posted this here yet - I did do a quick check  ;D.
Somebody nicked one of Luke's trailers in Toowoomba en route to Darwin on its way to a customer

Keep an eye out. A pretty unique beast.

Keep in mind, the whole low loader was stolen.  The thieves may be just after the trailer or what ever else was on the trailer..

Luke said it had 2 cars on also.

If it occurred at a road train changing depot, someone in the industry may have been sitting there waiting for a "new" low loader.

Still, that does not help Luke.  I trust it was insured....

its probably on other side of coast by now...

few days ago on 40 I overheard some bloke who had his prime mover stolen overnight and some other bloke's transport company had found it bogged out near eastern creek the next morning..

you'd have large cods to do something like that, plenty of blokes up the road know other primes and who should be driving them...

Good Result, did they find the whole lot (cars, low loader etc) or just the camper?

Good Result, did they find the whole lot (cars, low loader etc) or just the camper?

Found the whole shebang I think:

"The low loader with two cars and our DOT has been located, in bushland near Dalby.. seems 5 semi trailers were stolen in the last week around Toowoomba, one of the blokes who lost his trailer was out looking, driving around the forest near Dalby, and came across this one… so the police have been there, secured it, and it’s on it’s way back into town.. seems to be all intact… don’t think anyone has been caught yet, but they have some good leads now, and yeah at least we got it back… so THANKS YOU ALL VERY MUCH for your help and efforts, really appreciate the support from so many of you… thanks again, : ) luke
