Hi guys
I'm looking at selling my CUB Brumby and building a liftoff canopy with a rooftop tent and foxwing as i can't tow a boat with my current setup... so I've got the plan but thats about it. my budget is about 8k, I've already got fridges, batteries etc and like the idea of being able to customise the canopy to fit everything. does anyone have a similar setup and know of any good places to get a lift off canopy?
what is a good reliable queen size rooftop tent? i seen a howling moon at the camping show in sydney and they seem alright but its pretty much the only one I've seen.
are they reliable and waterproof? can you pack them up wet if needed or will it ruin the mattress?
I've currently got a dual cab ranger with a tray and fitted with old man emu suspension and airbags.
thanks so much for your help
If i own a swag, does that mean i have swagger?

Maybe a cheaper alternate would be to get a Pota bote https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=TnUKBWaFo6U   ;D
Depending on the size boat you want to tow of course .

Do you mean something like this http://www.drifta.com.au/dot-5-army-green/ but on your ute?

very similar to that, but in canopy form with retractable legs to remove the canopy from the ute for free strand camping and storage purposes. i take my dads 5.9m stabicraft fishing and it would be good to take a camper as well, cuts the cost of fishing trips in van parks. the idea is to load it out inside the canopy with a drop down fridge slide and kitchen on the left hand side,  2x 100 amp batteries feed from a solar panel slide on top of the canopy but under the tent, pull out hot water system for the wife, approx 70-90 litres for water, racks for my fishing gear and ample storage space for clothes pans etc. as much as i love a trailer, kinda limits my fishing...

Maybe design it in sketchup to suit your tray size and height etc with all your stuff and get a fabricator to build it.  If you cant use sketchup if you pm me the sizes I can do one for you.  At least you can take that to the fabricator to get a price.
My alternative to cheap import trailers;
