Mains water tap Jayco camper trailer
« on: April 07, 2015, 07:57:51 PM »
Just wondering if anyone has changed the mains water tap in there Jayco camper trailer I really don't like mine and would like to change it to something that shoots the water straight down rather than against the side of the sink

Plenty of different types of taps available, try Ebay, search for caravan taps or
any of the online caravan parts mobs. I would suggest for ease of replacement you
try and find one with the same diameter to fit the hole that is already there.

Also note the plumbing and try and get one with similar fittings.

I just use to one tap
A Rv version of a flick mixer
I put a non return valve in the supply line so if the pump is used then it can't flow up to the water inlet. If the hose is used then the water  comes out the flick mixer.
Very simple to do.

I changed mine for a standard $30 mixer from the big green shed. I fitted an electric instant water heater at the same time but if you only have cold, then easy to blank off the hot side flexi tail.

This is what I am using in my camper. Runs mains pressure and 12v. Adjusts in every direction.  Cheers, Mike.

These are a couple that I have been looking at for mine. My hand pump is still connected but I have an on off valve blocking it just in case of failure with 12v.
I'm using 12v pump and town water through the gooseneck tap.

I really like this one. Would need to delete the hot water entry.
