Car Insurance policy update
« on: March 26, 2015, 12:26:08 PM »
I have read through some old threads about competitive car insurance so thought I would add some updated policy info.

I have just insured my new vehicle and hubby's current Navara with QBE.

For the new ute they were $118 cheaper and will also automatically cover a box trailer up to $1000 included in the policy. I was also able to get 20% discount as the online application would not work. So this ended up being $250/year CHEAPER for my ute!! A massive saving.
I am paying fortnightly so this increased the cost a little for one car but reduced the cost for the other. I have NO IDEA how that works though.

I have never had a claim with any car insurance so really can't comment on any of them for ease of payout in the case of an accident.
Trying to find the time to use our camper . . .

Should there be a permanent sticky insurance thread.......................

I think so.

rockinj    We have our camper trailer insured with QBE and in 2013 we had to make a large claim and QBE were brilliant.   Our repairer sent them his quote on the Sunday afternoon and first thing on the Monday they replied with full approval and did not question the quote at all.  Our repairer was very impressed with them.  Kevin
