G`day from Southern Adelaide
« on: July 21, 2015, 10:18:56 AM »
G`day all, DCP and bride here from S/ Adelaide.
We are both retired and have removed the word wxxk from our dictionary and are now trying to enjoy the good life. For over 45 years we have tried to see as much of Aust as possible with the time available. At the moment we do all our traveling in a Triton Duel Cab and a 2002 Supreme Get away, which has done well over 150 .000Ks with over halve on dirt. Also have a 1988 Track Shack camper which has been dragged down the Canning, across all the Bomb roads and many other hard to get to places. We are fully set up for remote camping and can comfortably stay isolated for up to 3weeks or until the water runs out. Our philosophy is to travel light and try and take take only essential items. I also try and take only things with 2 or more functions.
Our interest include, travel to remote and little visited places, history, geography, reading, All things old school, fishing, photography, all motor sport, old machinery, steam power, home brewing, and the dreaded cycling.
 Beers and Cheers  DCP

Thanks  for the welcome guys.
We`re home at the moment making a few adjustments to the van, adding a grey water tank to the van.
All hand made as I needed it to fit in a specific place, more tightening up of free camping.
Had a bit of a look around the forum and see a couple of names I recognize so when I work things out we`ll post a few things up

Welcome DCP,

Seems that retirement has been seamless as you are well travelled anyway.
Enjoy the no time limit life.

G`day Rob C
retirement was not quite seamless so glad we got some of the hard stuff  out of the way before we got to old to do it. But retirement does give you more time to enjoy it.
Have a quick trip to Tassie coming up and then the plan is 3to 4 months in the West.

welcome and looking forward to your trip reports and pictures
easiest way to post is click additional options under post box and then click browse at attach: line
from there just select picture from file and post
Best to make sure pictures are fairly small so as to appear on screen at a good size

G`day Big Damo
Thanks for the welcome, and yes I`m having a wee spot of trouble with posting photos, but at the moment I`m in Hobart and have limited amount of downloads so I`ll wait till I`m back home to have a play.
