Introducing Mr and Mrs Iron Bark Hak
« on: July 02, 2014, 08:55:08 AM »
Hi All

I’ve been around this forum for some time, every time I had the urge to buy a camper I’d visit. We use to do a lot of tent camping, we travel from NSW to WA as far as Monkey Mia and stayed in fancy hotels in each state city. Our last tent adventure was to Iluka North Coast NSW 4 years ago where it poured the tent fell apart leaked and the wife got the SH%TS good and proper and made me pack in the rain on the way home she made me buy a Jayco Hawk.

We sold our Jayco Hawk about 3 years ago after owning it for only 6 months and two trips. I felt that I was to limited on where I wanted to go with it, and everything we touched seemed to break. The intentions where to replace it with something more rugged but as life rolls on other things took priority. Next to go was my beloved Land Rover Discovery 2, with a 5 inch lift 35 inch tyres and lockers, and what a beast it was, a V8 4.0 rumbled and climbed almost anything however spending $120 in fuel to travel 350km was getting a little bit out of hand so two years ago I parted with that with the intentions also to replace that. But as life rolls on other things took priority.

Anyway over the last two weekends the wife and I went on huge shopping spree we’ve bought a Brand spanker Mitsubishi Pajero Exceed and an MDC Crusader, the Crusader were yet to pick up, but for the life of me I can’t decide if to go with Black or Silver the Pajero is Iron Bark in colour a nice dark bronze colour

Does anyone own V4 Crusader in silver they would like to share a photo of

Anyway that’s our brief camping story, love the site, and find it amusing reading about Chinese imports

Welcome to the Forum, don't worry about the colour, it should be covered in desert dust or high country mud and will not make a difference then. Enjoy your stay

Thanks for the warm welcome guys I'm afraid with the colour of my truck I may loose it in the red sand of central Australia, on the other hand I might find a giant red kangaroo trying to have its way with the truck who know where the roads will take us
