New at Camper Touring
« on: February 20, 2014, 05:06:52 PM »
G'Day, My name is Mick.  I come from Worrigee (Nowra), on the sunny South Coast of NSW.  Have been camping ever since I was a kid, and finally lashed out a few days ago and purchased a 2nd hand 2002 All Terrain 17ft'er.  I was medically retired from NSW Police, so have a bit of time on my hands, so thought I would like to spend more time camping.  Involved in Scouting, and enjoy geocaching.  Looking forward to getting out with my 6 y/o son, and German Shepherd...Just have to find some dog friendly campsites down my way and I will be happy.  Looking forward to learning lots from this site and making a few new friends.

Welcome Mick. I'm a long time lurker and recent poster and you've found a great online community to become part of. We recently passed through the Sth Coast of NSW and really enjoyed the council site at Myoura - pretty cheap at $16/ night ( $11 if on pension) and dog friendly.

Hi Mick, welcome from up the hill in the highlands. We've got a few dog friendly forests up here, Belanglo and Wingelo, but you might want to make sure the sled dogs event aren't on if you venture up in winter.
