I just wanted to give a thumbs up to Peter (i'm pretty sure his name was) at Gladstone Radiator Service in Gladstone.
Due to unforeseen circumstances I needed a new radiator for my fourby on the Tuesday morning after Easter and rang Gladstone Radiator Services, as a friend of a friend (Hilly) was in town and coming to join us the next day. Gladstone Radiator Service had what i needed as far as the radiator went, and when i asked Peter where in town would be a good place to call next to grab a radiator fan from, Peter asked what was up?. When i explained i needed a new fan aswell as the radiator as both were cactus, Peter then asked for my phone number and said to leave it with him. In the next 10 - 15 minutes he rang all the places around town trying to hunt down the part i needed so that Hilly could come to the one place (his shop) and pick it all up at once after he finished work for the day. Unfortunately there wasn't a fan available in town and Peter went so far as to get a price of getting one overnighted in from Brisbane to his shop for me, which was very much unexpected. In the end that wasn't going to work as Hilly was leaving town early the next morning, and i arranged to get a new fan overnighted to Monto myself from Brisbane, and Hilly grabbed just the radiator from Peter instead. Peter also offered to stay back as late as 6.30 - 7.00 p.m at his shop as he knew some of the guys working on the islands around Gladstone don't finish until 6.00 p.m, this wasn't needed though as Hilly was finishing work about 1.00 p.m.
So if you ever need a radiator whilst around Gladstone give Peter a ring, he went out of his way to try and help me out and did much more then i would ever expect anyone to do, and offered to do more then anyone would expect someone to do trying to help me out, a complete stranger who has just rang his business chasing a single item from him. below is their details i copied from a google search, though the address is wrong.
