We're spoilt up here in Fnq
« on: December 29, 2013, 12:39:46 AM »
Short time reader first time poster.  Live in Cairns. Been a camper since birth, trying to continue the tradition by getting my boy and wifes feet dirty as often as possible.  We head out about 7 or 8 times a year with a couple other families (although less lately due to being an apprentice again with long stints away at tafe).  Have a 30yo trailer with some home made mods. She's not much to look at but she's practical.  So far done a longer draw bar, box and tailgate kitchen. Sees dirt corrugations but nothing real Gibb River Roadish yet.  So far is holding up but evolves when I can afford materials.  Looking forward to reading posts from more experienced,  and read the odd pissing contest/bun fight.

Aanywaay.

Where did you get the Cardwell Shire Council Bin from mate?
I used to have one of them until they changed to Cassowary Coast Council.

G'day fnqstraya.

Hello and welcome to our large family of Myswaggers, yes we are spoilt up here in the FNQ but we all never seem to find enough time to really enjoy where we live and what we have.

You will often see a posting from a fellow FNQer who may be planning a trip, don't be shy ' jump in and get to know some of us.

cheers duggie

Cheers guys. Mum and step father live in Cardwell.  Probably had that bin for a while.  Not sure if they still got it

Welcome to MySwag, a great part of Oz you are in with some great choices of camping. I hope you can keep the family interested in the outdoors as there is no better way to enjoy family time
