Installing a winch for beer???
« on: September 10, 2013, 02:10:27 PM »
Hi team, Im hoping someone in Melbourne would like to earn some free beer  or something else you enjoy drinking in exchange for your help/skills in installing a new Runva winch in an ARB winch bar for a 100 series cruiser?
I will be your able assistant(as i dont have any real good skills) in the process of fitting the winch.
I will come to you, you need to be close-ish to where i live as I dont really want to be travelling 100km's for it!!!!
So if you go skills in winch installing.....I think we have to remove the bull bar first, then let me know. if your thirsty and can install a winch, let me know....
Cheers

I thought from your subject line you were Installing winch for lifting/ towing beer.

I thought, now there's dedication to the cause.
Why do people ask "What the hell were you thinking?"
Obviously I was thinking I was going to get away with it and not have to explain it....

Yeah I read it thinking it was a "smash and grab" setup. Imagine helping then seeing your handy work on the news towing an ATM at 140km/h down Eastlink!!

Good luck with it I'm sure someone helpful and knowledgeable (both rule me out sorry  ;D) will help you sort this out.

I am happy to do it, not this weekend though cos Sandown in on. and not bathurst weekend.

otherwise any time.  even during the week.

he just needs to drive up tot he country. under 3 hours and he will be here.. I can even use the gantry so we dont have to lift the winch.

I usually use ropes around the winch and one of the rails on the bullbar but I dont think he wants to scratch it..

so I am here to help and then drink when finished.
