New camper owner
« on: September 20, 2013, 07:30:30 PM »
Hello all,
Been camping for years with a freedom tent with no problems. Then first child and tent added to carac offload trailer. Had a great time but after 9 years and carting saltwater for work trailer was a bit sad. Sold on eBay and started building a new 7x4 off road trailer with water tank, toolbox etc..I was about to go and purchase a Aussie Jays tent to bolt to new trailer and the phrase how do you feel about another baby? So due in febuary with the second. So have a brand new trailer that's done 2 Kim's since being painted. Went to jayco, new eagle ordered and delivered this week. Big step up from a soft floor and wife all happy. Looking forward to getting it out after fixing some of the well known jayco issues. Tow car is a 2012 Mazda bt50 gt, which has been faultless so far. This forum has been great for ideas during the last trailer build and there seems to be heaps of ideas for the jayco's evolution too.
Thanks
Toby..ps anyone want to buy a new offroad 7x4?

Welcome to The Show Toby, Lots to see & do here.

On the BT50, we have a 2010 model & have had some issues reversing up hills with the CT [Trackabout - TARE 750kgs], actually had the clutch replaced under warranty. Haven't heard any problems with the 2012 ones but we now used LOW range when reversing, takes the strain off the Dual Mass Fly Wheel.
