Decision on camping trailer????
« on: May 12, 2013, 10:28:57 PM »
I am thinking of buying jayco outback swan or eagle . Only family of 3 Will more thank likely frequent caravan parks . Is it worth getting the swan as it is bit bigger. Also anyone know if the air conditioners in them are noisy?
Novice looking to get my family out and experiencing our great Aust.
Thanks

Hi DD,

We have a Jayco Swan outback and we are a family of 4. We love having the extra space and beds in it. The air conditioner is not noisy. However we used the heating side of it last time we were away and found that a little noisy think it was vibrating on something....
At this stage we have done a lot of caravan park camping but hubby wants to go off the beaten track abit sometime. Think I might be able to handle a few days of that...

We had the swan.  It was great.  However, I really dont think the size is an issue with them as most people seem to spend 90% of the time outside and just sleep or eat in them.  Most dont seem to use the kitchens much at all.

just my obs.

We had a swan OB a couple of years ago. Loved the extra space. Having the front lounge and extra cupboards as you go in the door was a real bonus. We had 2 young children in it and although we had a full annex the extra space inside was great at night and on wet days.

Good luck with what ever you do.
