Mate, I wouldnt worry too much about where it was made, many take their CT to general fabricators for new work and upgrades, not just the manafacturer.

this one looks good value anyway, and well within your range.

Oh yeah, hunting is the fun part.

As per what Mace said most people go elsewhere for repairs or mods especially if it is a pre-loved CT.

You haven't mentioned of you are after a hard floor or soft foor. Looking at your budget would suggest soft foor.
There is this company in western Sydney that you don't see too much mentioned on the forum
http://www.jcampers.com.au/
Idon't recall seeing one inthe 2nd hand market though but them again I don't go looking either.

As 02-SR5 mentioned there is GIC. You will get a new one in your budget. Lots of opinion on these as they can be a bit hit and miss (do a forum search). I have one and am happy with it.

Mines from here : http://www.wallabytrack.com.au/

I got it 2nd hand and had a few repairs / mods done by Chris. Always does a great job for a fair price.  Whatever you get I'm sure Chris would mod or repair any brand.

IMWO, since your buying used, buy the best you can where ever it is from in the country.
Your limiting yourself from the majority of the market for no reason.

Theres a dozen + good trailers in the trader section on the forum here.

theres a few of em
http://www.campertrailers.org/manufacturers.htm

Nearly any place will fix issues that you have, sometimes its better to go elsewhere.

Im with Lost on this,
Why limit yourself to such a small market? If buying new I could understand for warranty purposes, but not for used.
Any fab place can do mods on the trailer itself or plenty of top notch canvas places around for alterations to a tent. Auto sparkies for twelve volt mods if its out of your comfort zone and drifta ship aus wide.
So not much other things that need to go to a manufacturer for......

The trader section here and on other sites have some real bargains at the moment. It seems like now is the time to buy.
For instance the camper I bought was made in WA, I picked it up from QLD and I brought it back to VIC where I live.  It needs a full rebuild due to rust, I am getting it done at a car resto shop.
The canvas I will get done locally and the 12v I will do myself.

To me it didnt matter where it was because it is unique and will be exactly what I want until I move to a custom van. (Or an occa  >:D)

Hope that helps

Cheers

Have a chat to the guys at Explorer Campers and Canvas at Gosford. I was talking to them the other week and they had a few second hand campers around that they were selling on behalf of customers who were upgrading to the latest campers!
