Kurnell sand
« on: October 19, 2013, 08:37:21 AM »
I was wondering if Kurnell is open for sand driving,if so where is the best place to access the sand.
I have heard it was closed to 4wd.
Thanks
Jeff

Kurnell itself has no 4wd ing. However on the way out there you can access Boat Harbour, this has private management & will give you access to the northern part of Wanda beach. I have not been there for many years so caanot help you with costs etc. It used to have some reasonable sandhills & a couple of waterholes.

Honest, don't bother..
As said you can get out to the shacks (mate lives out there), and cruise some sand, but not worth the effort.. The waterhole we used to go camping there for years as teens in summer. get there Friday leave Sunday.
we used to play hard out there :)
