Where to stay over easter

Hi all, does anyone have some suggestions where to stay over Easter, outback swan in tow. Initial thoughts is howqua but I'm led to believe its very busy ver this period but I guess every other spot is probably the same..

I guess 4-5 hours away would be enough but not fussed if its worth it..Within reason..

Mitchels Crossing on Mitchels Creek just past Mitchelton Winers . There is a theme happening here , but its only 1 hour from you place , great acess water front , long drops , its a happening thing  :cheers:

What would Stringybark Creek be like at Easter? After reading Carlisles article in 4WD Touring I am thinking of taking the kids on a history lesson for Easter about Ned Kelly.

Stringbark Creek will have a few around, its not super popular as there is no big river or stream nearby.  There is allways the Tolmie Sports Ground as a backup - see the Kelly Country Camp Thread.  Hot showers and proper Toilets!

Sorry, we will be at Omeo, so cant give a personalised tour.

Its a Shit hot spot.. manicured lawns.. No river is the only killer :(
but walking distance to some of the Kelly Historical stuff..
