« on: December 19, 2012, 09:06:02 AM »
The son wants to buy one of these Chinese Camper Trailers that are around. He only wants it to go surfing with his mates .You can get them for $3000 and thats with the sunroom as well so pretty cheap .Question is  there  a more preferred brand name selling more than others.I know Kangaroo Tent City has them and someone we know purchased another brand  from Sydney, trailer is made down there and tent in China.

Link to Kangaroo Tent City CTs.

HI there I wont get involved with old imported camper trailer debate I am sure you are aware to watch out for and quality issues that there may be. The Sydney company might be http://giccampertrailers.com.au/limited-time-limited-stock-oz-traveller/ and you would be correct in that at least the trailer is made in Oz. There a many imported trailers through Ebay and think some of the larger importers are Market direct and Ezy Trail or Ezytrading I could be wrong though ;)
Good luck, the important thing is he is getting out there.

Hi Bushbandit
There are some good 2nd hand one's going fairly cheap.
2007 Central Coast camper trailer - $2,990
2001 Outback FULL off road camper - $3,990

The other Australian manufactures are sure to have some as well, obviously not their own brands but as traded I suspect.
