Camps Australia Wide now available as an App
« on: November 08, 2012, 10:49:19 AM »
As the title suggests the Camps 6 book from Camps Australia Wide is now available as an iPhone/iPad app.

It is $51 to purchase but has everything the book has and obviously is a lot more interactive and user friendly. Personally I am more of a hard copy type of person but for those who like their tech gadgets this might be for you :)

You can also pay for yearly or monthly subscriptions to updates.

I am not affiliated with this, just giving everyone the heads up incase you didnt know.
Not a virus, not a re-install, not a format, not an issue since 2011..once you go mac you never go back

Thanks. Seems expensive for an app when you consider wikicamps is only a few dollars. I guess it may show more places etc but would be good to compare the two.

Tried to buy my 1st ever app a couple of days ago. It became a technical nightmare to the point my card got blocked for a "possible fraud attempt"...but not before google managed to get $2 out've it  >:D

Like you DannyG, I'll stick with hard copies of stuff thanks ;)

It would be interesting to see if the app integrates with the GPS capability of the Ipad....

That may mean you have locations, the visual of the photos, and the actual tracking all in one.

For every situation you have 3 choices. Live with it, change it, or leave it. But only pick one

Yep already using the wiki camps, I ain't paying $50 plus a subscription. The only advantage I think is it works with out reception.
Here for a good time, not a long time!

I too run WikiCamps and have the hardcopy of Camps 6 plus a bush camping with dogs book.
Seems too much already, but I would interested to see what it looks like on the iPad..

Iboughtcamps 5 book for $1 at a garage sale,

Its a good enough start, the rest I'll just wing it.
$51 seems stupidly expensive ............???????
Why do people ask "What the hell were you thinking?"
Obviously I was thinking I was going to get away with it and not have to explain it....
