I'm the new editor of
Go Camping Australia magazine and I've joined this forum with an unashamed mission -- to recruit more writers and regular contributors to the magazine.
Go Camping Australia is a fabulous magazine published bi-monthly written expressly for people who love camping in tents and camper trailers (sometimes caravans). We profile camping destinations, new camping gear, camping news, tips on 4WDing, fishing, camp cooking and tent and camper trailer reviews.
As the editor, it's up to me to search for new talent to keep the magazine lively, relevant and informative for our readers. I know that there's heaps of people crisscrossing this country toting swags and tents or towing trailers that are ferretting out great camp spots (although I know the best ones we don't really want to share!) and learning tips and tricks that they can share with like-minded adventurers.
Yes, you get paid if your story gets published--not a fortune, but enough to buy fuel to get to your next camp site!
Yes, we want great quality digital images to go with your story.
Yes, we're open to story pitches, ideas and feedback.
Yes, there are editors and proofreaders to help shape and finesse your story.
Most certainly, we want regular contributors to provide expert advice and knowledge about topics such as repairs, 4WDing, cooking, photography, bird watching, wildlife, fishing and so forth.
