Well I went today.
After nearly being short changed at the entrance to pay I ventured to the campers, boats and caravan section.
Caravan displays by cub and jayco while camper trailer displays by MDC , trackabout , Kimberley kampers, savannah , camel and other brands. It's a little muddy so be prepared.
MDC, market direct campers have got some bargain campers from $6,999 and should get a few sales. Spoke to a young guy at MDC , being a bit smart saying he is heading to the Cape with 4wd Action soon for 3 weeks testing his campers. He said there are about 8 cars heading up. That all I said well I am leading a group of 26 and his jaw dropped.
Other stalls are the usual all trying to sell you something. Korr lighting was there.
I looked at those thermo cookers were there but could not justify $200 plus for them.
I did not see any bargains that grabbed me so no one got my money.
I had a chat to a lady at the national parks stand about the new camping rules about booking. She said a lot of people have been complaining. I asked what the idea was and she said to make it easy to book so there are spots available and they will be having touch screens set up in the future. I asked her has she ever been there and she said no. I said in a nice calm mature way that it was a ridiculous idea and she smiled and said hers a brochure
Worth $8 to get in, no !! But I seem to go every year
