Porta potti for no 1
« on: April 30, 2012, 07:28:43 AM »
Hi

We are thinking of getting a porta potti in the camper for no 1 in the middle of the night.  My question is do the chemicals neutralise the wee smell?

Yes, if you use the correct chemicals they do not smell at all. Admittedly we don't keep the porta potti in the camper, we use a double ensuite just outside the camper. But we just used ours for 4 days with my 3 year old using it for every toilet visit, including no 1's and no 2's and it still didn't smell. I had bought a nice smelling oil thing to put in the ensuite I case it smelt but I never had to use it. I also was the one to empty it and that wasn't bad either, no smell.

Dont use chemicals supplied , we ditched them when we bought ours and used nappi-San . Plenty of posts on here and exploroz about it.
