Fraudulent eBay Listing
« on: April 25, 2012, 11:40:47 AM »
Hi All,

Just a word of warning, there is a fraudulent listing on eBay for a 2008 Jayco Swan Outback. I have reported it to eBay, so hopefully they remove it soon.

http://www.ebay.com.au/itm/180868519505?ssPageName=STRK:MEWAX:IT&_trksid=p3984.m1423.l2649#ht_500wt_1343

I emailed this seller asking for info and to arrange an inspection, and below his the reply... So for all those that may be aware, this is a typical eBay scam, trying to get your money.

I am asking $11200 for this 2008 jayco swan outback. This van is in perfect condition. Must tell you that i'm in Europe with business so you can't inspect the van right now but we can use eBay's services; this way you get 5 days to inspect the van before paying me and I am sure that I have a genuine buyer who won't mess me around. Email back and i will send you all the info regarding inspection and payment. Where are you located?

Regards,
William

Hi,
   googleing

"Tube for poles on rear.Registered until Aug 2012. Load up and drive away."

shows up an old advertisement in the Adelaide GumTree, where as ebay show it as Qld.

Listing ended at 12:47pm today. Looks like eBay moved quickly and in the right direction for a change.  8)

Not ended by ebay, but the user, probably a hijacked account

This listing was ended by the seller because the item is no longer available.

anyway its gawn, and **hopefully** nobody has been scammed

Yay! I won a Jayco for 12K! Youse guys is all just jealous, hey!

I've already PayPal'd  him the $12K and the other $4k he said it would cost to transport it to me, via Western Onion. Now I just have to wait four months for him to get back from Europe! I'm so excited! Thanks for alerting me to this A+++++ Five star ebay power seller!

Hey Pod, great to hear you got such a great deal.
If you're interested while you wait the 4 months till it arrives I can help you save enough money with my once in a lifetime scheme that will set you up so you can use it for the rest of your life living off your investments :D :D :D

All you need to do is fence some money for a rich Nigerian Oil broker mate of mine. All legit of course!!!! >:D >:D >:D >:D

Just email me your bank account numbers, passwords, next of kin, shoe size and your preffered pizza type.
Then sit back and wait to bask in the glory..............

Yours in extreme wealth (well....as soon as my nigerian mate comes good!!!)
