G'day from Catland
« on: April 03, 2012, 06:18:59 PM »
G'day.

I'm Nobba from Geelong. The wife, 2 kids (7 & 4) and I have an 85 Coleman Poptop camper that we are starting to take out more and more. We took out all of the interior so it is now more like a camper trailer. We are making mods to it after every camping trip, so we'll be looking for ideas on the forums. It's not really 'off road' but we love to take it bush. We mostly go camping down western Victoria way eg Nelson, Port Campbell.

Cheers,

Nobba.

Thanks everyone for the welcome! I'll gets some pics of our camper and set up on soon (once I figure out how to do it)! Any help???

Good camping spost down Nelson way are any of the camping grounds along the Glenelg River. I've stayed at Battersby's which has 2 camp sites that suit campers, has a long drop and 3 jettys to fish from. Also there is Pritchard's which a bit further up. It is a bigger site with 20+ sites, a proper toilet (i think), boat ramp and jettys. Here is a link to the map and other info.

G'day & Welcome.

Getting out there is the most important thing, not what you're doing it in.
