Murray River bush camp spots?
« on: March 05, 2012, 05:45:10 AM »
Anyone know of some good bush camp spots along the Murray River in SA? Thinking of heading bush with the camper trailer and the kids for a few days.

Cheers

How far did you want to travel, in the Riverland here where i live there are plenty of camp spots

A couple of good ones

 - Overland Corner    http://www.murrayriver.com.au/overland-corner/
 - Kataratkpo Creek    (on the maps below)

You can see these areas on the parks maps

http://www.environment.sa.gov.au/parks/Find_a_park/Browse_by_region/Murray_River

Some areas on the parks maps will only be accessible when dry, (they don't close some areas, the ground is clay and i wouldn't recommend driving on them due to the damage done to the track )

We often go to Walker Flat (100 mtr up from the punt). We love it.
