attaching a table/shelf to outside ct
« on: February 03, 2012, 02:34:24 PM »
Hi everyone, I am loving this site! We have purchased a 2nd hand Ezytrailer hard floor. My husband has been doing the hard work fixing /changing things  and with me supplying the good ideas  :D  I was hoping someone could tell me how and if you could attach a removable table/shelf on the outside of the ct. It would be over the wheel arch. I did see one on a home build here but can't find it again. Thanking you all in advance.  :D

sounds like a great idea. will be watching this post closely!
if youve got a hardfloor, how about purchasing one that goes on a caravan/motorhome outside? My parents have one on theirs and they love it.

Thanks for the reply  :D There's not enough room to have one like that. The trailer its self is quite small. Wouldn't mind a fold up or removable clothes line on the other side......lol

Hi nelle and welcome to Myswag.

I'm keen to watch for replies as I want to be able to put our Weber baby Q on a table over the wheel arch, as it's close to where the gas bottle sits.

I don't particularly want to have to mod/grind/weld the CT if possible, so I had in mind something along the lines of how those baby seats attach to tables... like this:

I would want to able to keep it (the heat) far enough away from the canvas though.

Food for thought at the moment.

What a great idea.

A canvas bucket for washing up would work too.

Hey, some clever ideas, thanks guys! I was thinking along the lines of attaching something to the ct permanently then hooking a table into it. The table supports (hooky bits) would have to fold flat for easy storage. That's what I want it to be like ozbogwam! :) We had a look at the wheel step Lil but they would be too low. :D There was one on here. It was a hard floor camper diy and he called it a funny name.........I've looked through the posts again and now I can't find it :(

Hi nelle,

Have a look at the following links to a couple of hardfloors with side tables. The first is of my cub and the second is of sablesoft's cub. hope that helps.
