Water Filters
« on: January 09, 2012, 10:53:35 AM »
Hi all,

With the new camper it is really easy to pick up water from an external source and dump it into the tank. While at Tom Groggin we were doing this with the water from the Murray, and i was running it through a inline carbon filter, which is supposed to be removing any taste from the water.

I'm keen to get opinions about who has used what type of filter and possibly why it is their choice for drawing water from any source. i'm even suspect of water available at caravan parks or other town sources so i'm hoping to purchase something that will give a good filter.

thanks
dan

i have a twin setup, it only gets used if the local water looks or taste a bit ify, portable just hangs on the tail gate and conects via standard hose fittings to the nearest tap or pump,,, outlet is a small tap asembly that also ataches above kitchen area,,,
use the same sytem at home as a permanent setup,,, a Pre filter and then the carbon filter. home one gets changed every 6 months, but CT one is when ever i remember,,,
they do make a big difference, taking out a lot of those little nastys befor they go upsetting your insides..
Very much worth the money
