Some rooftop tent ideas from the US.
« on: November 08, 2011, 04:38:40 PM »
My boss's sister is currently over in the US at a big car parts convention (she owns an Autopro shop.) She's just been posting up heaps of photos from the show on Facebook. Thought I'd share one or two with you.

This Jeep has got an interesting take on the roof top tent and there is a CT in the background.

Nice to see TJM there...

I'm thinking this could be a new colour scheme for the Chevy... :cup:

And some 'Stang lovin'...

No...she hasn't said anything about the photos.

I've put up a reply on that photo on her facebook and I'll see if she can remember anything more about it.

I've seen one of those Jeeps on UTube somewhere.  They wander you through the whole set up.  You enter the "roof top" tent from the inside I believe.  Interesting storage on the inside.  Don't think our Aussie Standards would agree with some of it.

Love the Vegemite idea!

I think they look great, put our idea of a roof top tent to shame.

I think you're right - I think it is a Habitat. My first thought was a Wildernest or a FlipPac, but looking at Stormrider's link, that looks exactly the same.

They're big over in the 'States. The Wildernest or Flippac in the tub of a pickup is quite popular.

Dutchess - I'm guessing she's over in Vegas for SEMA? I've not seen much 4x4 stuff from the show yet. There's always something worth looking at!

Thanks for posting the photos up!

Matto...you're right, its the SEMA show. There were a bunch of other photos she took of the big pick ups and some more of the show cars too.
